Because my clients show up with a wide variety of “presenting issues” it’s not always easy to articulate the results they will experience in our work together.

Often, what they seek me out for is the outward “external” symptom of something deeper, a core wound, that’s been hiding under the surface for many years.  So that relationship issue, food issue, pain issue or sleep problem is just an inroad into the deeper, less obvious, underlying emotional pain or wound.

A father’s abandonment, a mother’s constant criticism, growing up with a chronically ill sibling, inappropriate sexual behavior by a trusted adult or problems in school can have long lasting effects on your mental, physical and emotional well-being.

Most clients would never make the connection between those early experiences and their current difficulties on their own. You need a really safe container and an experienced tour guide to navigate the journey into the shadows and ruins of your past, to unearth what you find there, to heal the old story, put the pieces together in a different way and begin to write a new one for the life you’re ready to live, using all that you’ve uncovered and healed as the foundation of that new story.

It’s always powerful and transformational when clients make those connections and finally come to see that the “problem” was simply (or not so simply), an adaptation of the ego to keep them safe!  Suddenly, there is space for compassion and forgiveness for the self, and an opportunity to let go of years of guilt or shame.

I was recently asked to share the top 5 results that my clients experience.

I took some time to think about this a bit more.  Here’s what I came up with. Although I’ve identified 5 major areas, the truth is that each includes many “sub-results”, but I think you’ll get the idea!

1. Eliminate Fears and Phobias by Healing Emotional Wounding

You will be able to live your life free of the fears and phobias that have been holding you back in your personal, relationship or professional life. You will feel less anxiety and more inner peace, end frequent panic or fight/flight response, stop patterns of self-sabotage i.e., eating, procrastination, holding back, endless worry, repeating old unsupportive patterns.  You regain the ability to travel, speak up, give and receive more love, be out in nature or around animals, be more open/authentic in relationships and be more visible. 2. Develop Self Trust & Good Boundary Setting

You will start to put yourself first without feeling guilty or selfish. You’ll be able to tap into your inner knowing and intuition, have more confidence in your ability to make good decisions, learn to identify and trust the signals that your body is sending you and be able to set boundaries with family, friends and colleagues. You’ll stop people pleasing, over-caring and over-doing, and let go of the guilt and resentment that comes along with that behavior. Feelings of shame, and the habit of shaming yourself or others will be a thing of the past.

3. Quiet Your Inner Critic and Follow Your Heart

You will finally be free from the unsupportive, critical and judgmental voices in your head that wear you down, talk you out of moving forward on your dreams and heap feelings of shame, guilt and unworthiness on you.  You will be able to feel hopeful, experience inner peace, hold your head up, speak your truth, take risks, have compassion for yourself, and feel confident and competent in your personal life, relationships and work life. 4. Master Your Mindset and Create More Abundance in Your Life

You’ll begin to attract more of what you want and less of what you don’t want as a direct result of raising your personal vibrational frequency when you release the energetic residue of old emotional and psychological experiences. Emotions are energy in motion and the more you clear up the dense energy of past experiences, the more you raise your energy and become vibrationally attractive to the things you want to create in your life. 5. Experience Relief From Physical Pain

Much of our physical pain is the result of emotional pain and accumulated stress held in the body.  When you begin to tune into the messages in your body, with love and care, you will be able to sleep better, wake up each day feeling vibrant and  energized, do more of what you love, lessen your need for prescription medication or stop self-medicating through food, alcohol, or other addictions, travel more easily, be clear-headed, make better decisions, be more physically active and enjoy a more vibrant sex life. Are Results Guaranteed?

Some results will come very quickly, others will take more time.  It’s a commitment, a process and a journey to heal from past experiences, regularly practice self-care and self-love, and begin to live a life of greater peace, joy and health. But you have time.  It’s up to you to decide what you’ll do with it.

I can guarantee that unless and until you decide to do something different and then commit to a plan of action, you’ll look back a year from now and not much will have changed.
